PLEASE NOTE: The Massachusetts Public Records Law (M.G.L. Chapter 66 & Chapter 4, Section 7(26)) provides that every person has a right to access public information. This right of access includes the right to inspect or be furnished a copy of any public record, or to be notified of a denial of such a request, within ten (10) business days following the receipt of a request. In order to assist members of the public with accessing public records in the custody of the College, the following guidelines are provided. Please review the 鈥淕uidelines to assist persons seeking access to public records in the custody of the College鈥 document.
FERPA & Directory Information
Student information will be released per the guidelines listed here. Please note what is included in the DIRECTORY. Student requests that do not fall under the Public Records Law should contact the Registrar鈥檚 Office.
The Solomon Amendment
mandates that institutions receiving specific federal agency funding must comply with military recruitment requests for campus access and student recruiting information lists. This law grants branches of the military access to student data that would otherwise be restricted by the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).
